My Coaching Style

I believe coaching goes beyond merely applying strategies and techniques. It's about embodying a coaching perspective that permeates every interaction and decision. My unique, integrated coaching philosophy is grounded in the principles of humanistic psychology, self-determination theory, and positive psychology. I believe every individual has the potential for growth and self-improvement, which can be unlocked through a supportive and collaborative coaching relationship.

My approach to coaching is strategic, holistic, and integrated, emphasising both the 'doing' and the 'being' of coaching. I adopt a long-term focus, setting realistic goals, fostering motivation, and monitoring progress towards desired outcomes. I take into consideration the whole person and their multifaceted needs. My coaching process is flexible and responsive, tailored to meet each coachee's unique requirements.

Before becoming a coach, I held various senior leadership roles, giving me a deep understanding of the dynamics and challenges that leaders face. This first-hand experience informs my coaching significantly, allowing me to relate to my coachees and offer practical, actionable advice. I understand the pressures of leadership, and I'm well-equipped to guide others through similar scenarios, thanks to my own journey. This intersection of lived leadership experience and professional coaching expertise enhances my practice and ensures I offer valuable, reality-grounded guidance to all my coachees.
